Ride JC - Earth Day Cleanup
Help Ride JC clean up Johnson City's trails while hanging out with some cool people. Ride JC will be cleaning up the North State of Franklin Linear Trail starting at Novus Drive and going as long as we have light. Ride JC will also talk about the north portion of JC's trails. Gloves and bags will be provided.
Who: Anyone who wants to help keep the trail looking great
What: N. State of Franklin Trail Cleanup
When: Earth Day, Tuesday April 22 6:00pm - Dark
Where: Meet at the old parking lot on Sells Avenue behind Publix
What to Bring: Good shoes, flashlight, water bottle

26th Annual Boone Lake Cleanup
Saturday - April 26, 2025 - Winged Deer Park Boone Lake Association
Trash Collection Sites:
#1: Boone Lake Marina
#2: Davis Boat Dock
#3: Pickens Bridge Ramp
#4: Winged Deer Park 11E ramp
#5: Lakeview Marina
Register: receive your trash bags from 9 AM at 1 of 5 trash collection sites.
Return: Deliver your trash to any collection site up to 3 PM to receive your tickets.
Enjoy: come to Meredith Pavilion Winged Deer Park by 4 PM for Food and Music.
Win: Meredith Pavilion Winged Deer Park at 5 PM for Grand Prize & Cash drawings.
CA$H for TRA$H: Pick up trash/Debris in bags provided. Bring your bags and larger items (large wood, appliances, Styrofoam, tires, etc.) to a trash collection site by 3 pm to receive an access wristband and cash prize drawing tickets.
PICNIC & MUSIC: The Meredith Pavilion picnic includes food served at 4 pm to registered participants.
DRAWINGS: The cash prize drawings will begin at 5 pm, followed by the Grand Prize drawing.

Johnson City Spring Cleaning Event
City of Johnson City Solid Waste to offer two locations for spring cleaning event
Johnson City’s Public Works – Solid Waste Division will provide two drop-off sites for residents to deposit trash and bulk material on Saturday, May 3, between 7 a.m. and noon.
Indian Trail Middle School, 307 Car-Mol Drive (entrance off Car-Mol Drive in the parking lot closest to the building)
Science Hill High School, 1509 John Exum Parkway (just off Liberty Bell Boulevard in parking lot I)
Acceptable items include building materials, e-waste, metal for recycling, and bulk items. No paints, tires, herbicides, insecticides or hazardous materials including paint thinners will be accepted. Assistance with unloading will be available.
This service is for Washington County residents only.
